Artificial intelligence has quickly become one of the most transformative technologies in the workplace. From drafting emails and summarizing documents to analyzing data and generating ideas, AI is helping organizations become more productive and efficient than ever before.
But with every new technology comes new risks.
That is why we are excited to introduce our newest uRISQ Training video: AI in the Workplace.
“AI in the Workplace” was developed to help organizations embrace AI while helping them reduce the risks that can accompany its everyday use. Rather than discouraging employees from using AI, the training encourages responsible adoption by helping them understand both the benefits and the potential consequences of sharing information with AI tools.
For many employees, AI tools like ChatGPT, Copilot, and Gemini feels no different than using a search engine or another business application. Unfortunately, that assumption can create significant privacy and cybersecurity concerns. Information entered into public AI platforms may be retained, processed, or used in ways employees do not fully understand. A single prompt containing confidential customer information, financial data, source code, or proprietary business information can unintentionally expose sensitive data outside the organization.
The challenge for businesses is finding the right balance.
Organizations want to encourage innovation and productivity, but they also need to protect confidential information, customer privacy, and intellectual property. That starts with educating employees on what information is appropriate to share with AI tools—and what should never leave the organization.
The AI in the Workplace training walks employees through practical, real-world examples of how AI can be used safely and effectively. Topics include:
One of the most important messages throughout the training is that AI is a tool—not a replacement for human judgment. Employees remain responsible for verifying AI-generated content, protecting sensitive information, and making sound business decisions.
For small and medium-sized businesses especially, a thoughtful approach to AI adoption can provide a significant competitive advantage. Organizations that educate their workforce early can improve productivity while avoiding many of the privacy, security, and compliance challenges that arise from uncontrolled AI usage.
The key is to move forward deliberately.
Businesses do not need to implement every new AI capability overnight. Instead, they should establish clear expectations, define acceptable use, and provide employees with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. A “slow and steady” approach allows organizations to gain the benefits of AI while maintaining control over their most valuable asset—their information.
At uRISQ, we believe cybersecurity and privacy awareness must evolve alongside technology. As AI continues to become part of everyday business operations, employee education becomes one of the most effective ways to reduce organizational risk.
Our new AI in the Workplace training helps employees understand not only how to use AI, but how to use it responsibly. By building awareness today, organizations can confidently embrace AI while protecting the confidential information that keeps their business, customers, and reputation secure.
